5 days after the start of the new year, I'm enjoying one of the best days of my life! My juniors gave a a pleasant suprise on Friday.. Though it isn't exactly my birthday yet, they decided to celebrate it since it was the last day of the week in school.. Dear baked a cake at Shili's place on Wednesday and they had their suprise celebration for me.. Jordan was claiming credit for drawing the duck on the cake.. i got a present from Shili too! I was showed some videos and pictures of the process.. Thanks dear for putting in all that thought and effort into the cake! And thanks to Shili, Jenny and Jordan for helping her do that! Already, this made my 19th birthday so much more special than last year's! Thanks to all my juniors! I never had juniors celebrating my birthday for me before.. Thanks loads to this special bunch!
MMB results were pleasant to have, and I sent my paper back for bargaining so that I'd get an A+.. DBG was horrid though.. I did way below the lecture average.. Eew.. Not nice.. Sent dear home at the end of the day before taking a long journey back home..
Joel called at night, saying I left my pants in the clubhouse and I needed to remove it cuz it stinks.. The blur me took his words seriously! I told him I wont be able to make it at night, but I'll go at around 11.. Then Wei San sms-ed to ask me to open the clubhouse for her.. Nothing seemed odd then, and I thought things were juz well timed..
Just before I wanted to head to bed, I received a call at 12am from Bee Sim.. She sounded very sad, but slpwly turned to the concerned and cute voice.. She asked loads of funny things, like "how come not asleep yet?" Then she gave me a letter "H".. about 5 minutes later came another call.. Xiang Ling called and gave a very sian "A".. Haha.. I roughly got the hint.. And Joel and Denyse called next to give me "P P P P P P P P P..." Haha... What followed were: Jeremiah asking "Y ah?", Nikki's blur blur "what's after A ah?", Darren's "my letter is I, yea", Lendl's "heeeey.. i give R", Ming Cheng's "Donald ah, T", Davin's "Dooonaldd, H", Abel's "wei, D.. you know what's happening already right?", Kai Hua's "Yo.. A", and Steph's chirpy "Y! Heehee!"
Haha! Thanks guys! I'll remember this special present from you! The thought was really great! And the present was really sweet! Thanks loads! You made the first hour of my birthday really enjoyful!
I woke up early in the morning to head to school for tennis.. For a moment, I thought it was gonna rain.. I rushed out without bringing anything else other than my tennis stuff and a change of clothes.. Not forgetting a plastic bag for my "stinky pants".. I played tennis with a guy I have mistook to be Wei San's nephew for so long! I received SMSs from lots of people wishing me happy birthday! Then two girls played on the court at the far end came to me and asked us to join them.. Marcus was kinda tired so it would be better since it'll be livelier.. I thought them both a little tennis, which seemed to help abit.. Then they left just in time for me to head to the clubhouse..
On my way to the clubhouse, my "little twin stars" called.. They sang happy birthday to me over the phone! Heard there was a few other girl juniors as well! Haha.. Thanks for it all! Every moment of the day was greeted with delight!
When I got to the clubhouse, Wei San was already inside, and Denyse seemed to have just woken up on the sofa.. I began to look for my "pants".. Wei San didn't know where, so I called Joel.. He took me on a long search and brought me to the shelf near the clubhouse window.. When I just reached the shelf and began to search, my fellow SGLs popped up from behind the window with a birthday cake! Now that's a BIG BIG birthday suprise! It was planned so well, and they thought that I wouldn't fall for the "pants" trick.. Haha.. Wei San was a double confirm to get me to go down to the clubhouse.. thanks loads to all of you guys for this wonderful and special suprise! It was truely a wonderful gift for me! On top of that, I still got presents from them!
I rushed home for lunch and a quick shower before going for Dr Kenny Yaw's lesson.. Mum was kind enough to wait for me to finish up everything and go with her.. Cheryl gave me a birthday card she made! Receiving cards from her nowadays is extra special! She's become more creative than she was, and really thoughtful too!
Alvin was MIA from his phone for the first hour before telling me he had his OIAP stuff to do.. Anyway, Dr Yaw's lesson wasnt what I intepreted to be (damn, my chinese is getting worst).. But I still learnt loads of things during that 3 hour session, and so proud I only dozed of for about less than 10minutes! Haha..
Met dear at a later time at Paya Lebar after the meeting.. I had to rush off halfway during my mum's debriefing session.. Then we took a bus down to Parkway Parade for dinner! I tried Fish & Co for the first time.. Glad dear and I had our fill.. Then I could officially bring her home for the first time! Dear's parents finally let her come to my place, but it was initially for what I said, for a birthday dinner.. Enjoyed dear's company for that time till my mum came home.. It seems mum also got a cake for me as well! Now, how about 3 cakes for one birthday! Got pictures taken before cutting out and sharing the cake..
My heart was aching already.. Aching with all that joy.. I'm deeply touched.. I'm really a lucky, lucky birthday boy this year.. With all those thoughtful wishes from so many of my friends, to those suprises, the 3 cakes, the special celebrations, the presents, and most importantly, all the effort put into everything! I love it so much, I'm keeping the 3 plastic knives I used to cut the cakes! Bits of everything built up to making 2 very happy days for this boy.. Thanks to all who made the start of the year so memorable! I can't thank you guys enough! This will surely go down as one of the most memorable birthdays of my life!
