Camp is Over! Which marks the end of Learning to Lead! Wee!!!

The camp started out bright and sunny... Met Wei San, Pei Fen, Rui Xiang and Wan Hua at the MRT to walk to the camp centre together... Then got a sweet for being early =.=

Then we checked in with the director, Lai, or something like that... He's a friendly guy and he told us the training centre was his dream, including the high elements structure which he designed himself! Then after checking in, we started off with our first lessons at the centre! I felt weird when I saw Sheena, our trainer... She's kinda young, and looks really spunky with her bright fringe... I thought it was funny that something so serious was to be conducted by someone so young... Turned out she was energetic yet passionate about teaching about leadership... She knows her stuff! Then during the first game, I was split into a seperate group from my LSCT peeps! Got stuck with a group of mass comm people who have their own world going... Luckily I still know Wan Hua there, not so lonely... Then our facilitator Ian came to do some ranking exercises with us after a few lessons... I got positive and negative answers from the rankings... I agreed, cuz I didn't really speak out much... I felt uncomfy to be with them on the first day, but I was given the chance to voice out my feelings... Somehow, I felt accepted into them... It was special though... When Amelia told me about her reasons for ranking me... I didn't know she'd take notice... But it was good encouragement to really perform in this team... Then I read all of Dear's messages during dinner time and even called her up just to hear her voice... The day ended on a low note, with a small reflection within the team... It felt great... I wanted to do better the next day! Everyone mistook the essay assessment to be on the next day so we stayed up to study till quite late... Talked to dear while studying, so I didn't really study...

The second day felt better... It was meant to be a more physical day, with the practical exam and the seemingly ending ring toss game... My knees are still kinda aching from that game... Can't walk down stairs comfortably... Then I thought my practical assessment cuz my partner hogged the debriefing part alot... Sucks man... But i still played out the game, cooperated and gave my team my full... That's what Amelia and I learned from each other on giving in our 100%... She was my learning buddy this camp... We learnt alot from each other... The station games ended on a high note... We managed to get all 20 people over the high wall! There was such a celebration, John and Ian (the module leaders) got drinks for us to celebrate! The night was also on a high... It was the end of the camp programme, and what's left was the essay the next morning... We did acknowledgement (or affirmation as I'd like to call it) with "gems"... It was great to here the words from the people themselves than the notes... They had a greater impact!

Then we stayed up to study again... I talked to dear a while but she fell aslp... Poor ger... Must be tired after doing her hair modelling the past few days... She spent full days out at holland v, but she looks really great now! my dear...

The last day was unexpectedly long... I took the paper in the morning, and the "Iron Man" was telling us before about all don't study and get average results, so we'll all get A's after moderation... Wonder how he did... Then the camp closing was long... but we got a really nice gift! I went out with a few peeps for lunch at the kallang prata house... ROCKS man! I couldn't tahan, so after our last goodbyes, headed straight home for the sacks! Woke up only at 10pm to ask dear out on our first date! Heehee... And I gotta get the new clubhouse keys in school... Heehee... First time I'll see dear again after so long!
