Yesterday's been quite an adventure... I haven't done "exploring" like that in a long time... The day was wet too... Just the atmosphere...
I was really late for school to begin with... Almost 40 minutes late... Thank god i didn't miss much... Can't help it if you're staying at the other end of the country and wake up an hour before shool starts... Seems like I wasn't the only one late... A few more were later and even Dr Choy was late... Then she walked in late too... I couldn't help but notice her there, though I set out not to look or talk to her again since that incident...
The day ended so quickly... I just over an hour... I stayed in school for some time to have lunch with my freshies... It didn't go too well though... Seems like they only had an hour break, while I took them to canteen 3... Oops... Well, Shili insisted on going the night before... Then I heard from Edmar that MC's presentation didn't go all that well... Poor him... He pulled through a late night and woke up unwell, yet he still came for the Stardust outing... Guess his efforts were kinda wasted... Hope nothing really bad happened...
I left lunch to join Nadj and Alvin for pool... Its been some time since the 3 of us have spent time together... It was really fun... Seems like my pool hasn't deproved much, but I couldn't help but hit "stunning shots" at times... Hee... It was split at $4 each when we ended... Deffinitely worth the amount to spend good time with buddies!
I set out to Funan to get printer ink... I don't really know the way there by bus... So I cut the train expenses by going down to Newton first... It was all pretty easy... Then I realised there were so many shops around and I forgot to call my Godpa about where to get it... I went exploring around... Then I realised I didn't know the model number of my printer too! While I was about to buy one, I had to excuse myself to go somewhere else to check from my laptop...
I was too lazy to go back to that shop then... Rather, I couldn't remember which shop it was... So I went exploring... Different shops... I only saw price tags on coloured inks while what I wanted were only black ink refills... So I estimated the average cost of one to be cheaper than the coloured ink... I didn't want to bother the salesmen, and I wanted to soak in my own world of music... So I jumped from shop to shop, still hoping to find the cheapest price on the tags...
Then I came to a store which had a tag! It was $32!!! Twice the amount of the coloured ink! Though I would have bought it anyway, but I only had $28 left! I realised that if I didn't play pool, I could've got it no problem... Haiz... Long way here... And I wasn't about to leave empty-handed... Though my mum told me to go home, I stayed on and explored till I finally found a shop which sold it at a cheaper price!!! It wasn't the brand of the printer though... But anything would do! I could go home with a peace of mind then...
Then when I exited Funan, I realised I went to the wrong bus stop, which had buses going the other direction of home... I walked down street by street trying to find the bus stop... Finally, I found one, which had only 1 bus home... It would do... But I dropped off near bugis to get a faster bus back...
Not long after I got home, I had to leave for the Biopure forum at Elken... I've never taken a bus to Elken from home before... So I got myself lost for the second time in the day... The Geylang strecth seemed to be the same at night; bright lights and signboards with coffee shops along the road... So I just got off the bus when my PSP ran out of battery... I crossed about 3 streets before I reach the other side of the road which the office was located, but I found myself in between Paya Lebar and Aljunied, while the office was only after Aljunied MRT! I had to walk down the long path along the MRT track to reach the office... I got there on time, but the event didn't... It was half an hour later that the event started... I could even accompany Darren to buy stuff before the event begun...
It abt that that ended such a day... I realised I survived half a day with only $2 in my wallet! Hehe... How's that for a misadventure?
